Chart notes
HOT ROD CHARLIE broke in and bumped with a foe, went to the front, set the pace with company to his outside while inside to the two path, was urged along on the far turn, spun three wide into the stretch, battled with the runner-up under a strong hand ride, came under a right-handed crop while shaking off that foe nearing the sixteenth-pole, was given one pop of a left-handed crop while clear late and proved best. MIDNIGHT BOURBON prompted the pace on the outside in the three path, was asked in the four path into the stretch, battled outside of the winner into the final furlong, dropped back into the final sixteenth and was outfinished while just able to hold the place. O BESOS moved in at the rear early, came back out into the first turn, went five wide on that bend, settled at the rear, was urged along while inside to the two path on the far turn, gained under a drive into the final furlong and finished with good courage to just miss the place but was clear for the show. PROXY was bumped on both sides at the start, went three wide while rated on the first turn, came under urging inside the five-eighths, went three to four wide while ridden along on the far turn, was driven five wide into the stretch and lacked the needed kick. STARRININMYDREAMS rounded the first turn in the two path, settled towards the back, was urged three wide on the far turn then driven four wide into the stretch, moved out around the three-sixteenths and failed to rally. MANDALOUN went four wide on the first turn, was rated on the outside, chased four wide on the far turn, turned into the stretch under the crop and had nothing left. RIGHTANDJUST was taken under a tight hold early, saved ground on the first turn, was rated just off the pace, dropped back under urging in the two path on the far turn and capitulated. RUN CLASSIC bumped with a rival at the start, went four wide on the first turn, settled off the pace, dropped back while three wide on the far turn and faltered.
