Chart notes
DIXIE STREET angled in early, was well placed in third position, raced inside early on the turn then moved to the two path, shifted three wide under a drive late on that bend, spun four wide into the stretch, bumped repeatedly with the runner-up while in pursuit of the pacesetter from the three-sixteenths to the wire and got up gamely between horses at the wire to prevail. OUTLAW X. was urged along off the pace, went three then four wide on the turn, was driven five wide into the stretch, bumped repeatedly with the winner while in pursuit of the pacesetter from the three-sixteenths to the wire and just missed in a game effort. PICKENS showed good speed and set the pace, vied in the two path on the turn, responded well when set down in upper stretch, drifted out significantly in the final furlong and was denied at the wire while clear for the show. SOUL SONG moved out nearing the half-mile pole, went five wide for most of the turn then dropped to the four path, came six wide into the stretch and lacked the needed kick. BROADWAY JONES raced well back in the field, went around the turn in the two path and failed to threaten. ROUX GA ROUX chased the early pace on the outside, made a bid near the half-mile pole, vied four then three wide on the turn and tired. DUSTY BOY drifted out badly early, went four wide on the turn, came seven wide into the stretch and was no factor. MONEY AND ME was last to commence, settled on the outside, went six wide on the turn and failed to respond.
