Chart notes
CREATIVE ROMANCE settled midpack early, saving ground in the two path along the backstretch, advanced position along the second turn, took command at the eighth pole and kicked clear in the end. STAR OF AFRICA assumed command of the early pace while saving ground, was confronted by CREATIVE ROMANCE at the top of the stretch, and could not hold off that rival but held on to be second best. ESCAPE THE CITY (GB) was unhurried early, three wide along the second turn, made a late rally in the stretch for third. MYBLUEBELL (FR) settled early, moved up while three wide on the second turn, but could not continue that bid in the stretch. DOC YCO CHEEKS stalked the early pace, lost position along the second turn while four wide, and had no late rally in the stretch. GOLDEN IRIS (GB) settled midpack early, close to the pacesetter, lost position along the second turn, was eased in the stretch and walked off.
