Chart notes
UNION SMARTIE was hustled early, setting fractions from a ground saving trip, was roused in the stretch and while pressured late by INCREDIBLY LUCKY, held on for the win. INCREDIBLY LUCKY was unhurried early, saved ground through the turn while two wide, swung out for the drive while widest of the field, made a late rally but could not reel in UNION SMARTIE. CALIFORNIA COMET settled early, advanced position while three wide along the turn, but could not sustain that bid and was outfinished by the top two. PURE PERFECTION stalked the early pace, between horses two wide on the turn,lost position into the stretch and weakened late. TAKES A VILLAGE stalked the early pace from a ground saving position, lost position along the turn, and had no late response in the stretch.
