Chart notes
COUNTING CARDS was a bit rank into the first turn, stalked the pace from a ground saving position, settled along the backstretch and second turn two wide, overtook TRASH TALKIN CAT at the eighth pole and kicked clear for the win. TRASH TALKIN CAT set the early fractions from a ground saving trip, was confronted at the top of the stretch by COUNTING CARDS and could not muster a late bid to catch that foe, while still holding for second. BARHOPSKY was unhurried early, settling at the rear of the field while saving ground through the backstretch and second turn, advanced position coming off of the turn and continued with that rally through the stretch but could not catch the top two. GALLOPING UNO chased the early pace, three wide on the second turn, was outrun into the stretch and had no late bid. AL MILLON BOB settled toward the rear of the field early, continued to travel toward the back through the backstretch and second turn while two wide, was outrun on the turn and flattened late.
