GALLANT WARREN was unhurried early, saved ground toward the back of the back through the backstretch and second turn, gained on the turn while still saving ground, angled out for the stretch drive and caught ALVAARO late for the win. ALVAARO was hustled early, saved ground while setting the fractions, was roused into the stretch and was caught late for the win. FREEPORT JOE stalked the early pace while maintaining a two wide running position, stayed close to the leader on the turn and into the stretch,began tiring in the stretch while running on his left lead but held on for third. COMBAT ZONE settled toward the rear of the field early, continued to sit off pace while three wide through the backstretch and second turn and had no late bid in the stretch. ORCZY (IRE) settled off pace, saved ground through the backstretch and second turn, was outrun on the turn, and flattened late.
