Chart notes
ITALIANO broke alertly, set contested fractions through the backstretch and turn while saving ground, was confronted heading into the stretch, repelled that challenge and held on for the win. SEQUENTIALLY chased the early pace while saving ground, continued to chase along the turn, angled to the rail for the drive, made a late rally to pressure ITALIANO but could not reel that foe in, while still holding for second. CLEM LABINE had no speed early, continued to trail while two wide along the turn, swung three wide into the stretch and made a late rally to just get the head bob for third. HONEYMOONZ OVER contested the early pace, continued to challenge the leader through the turn while two wide, took the lead at the eighth pole, was caught between calls and was outfinished late. OISEAU DE GUERRE settled in the midflight early, was three wide on the turn while losing position, was outrun into the stretch and had no late rally.
