Chart notes
COPPER HALO was four wide on the first turn,settled in the middle of the pack while still wide down the backstretch, improved position on the second turn while still four wide, collared the leader entering the stretch and was clear late. GORDON ANTHONY set contested early fractions while saving ground, continued saving ground through the backstretch and second turn, was confronted by COPPER HALO at the eighth pole, could not hold off that rival but held on to be second best. WYNNVILLE settled toward the rear of the field,saved ground through the backstretch and second turn, improved position on the turn, continued to make a steady run through the stretch but was outfinished by the top two. COLAVITO had no early speed,saved ground through the backstretch, improved position while saving ground on the second turn but could not go on with that bid in the stretch run. IMA RUMBLER chased the early pace, continued to chase the leaders while three wide on the second turn, led between calls, but tired in the drive. FLOAT ON contested the early pace, took lead on the backstretch, was two wide on the second turn while still close up, was outrun into the stretch and was not persevered with late. PRINCE ON THE RUN settled in the middle of the pack, lost position along the backstretch, was outrun into the turn, was eased into the stretch and walked off.
