Chart notes
STRIKE IT LUCKY chased the early pace, was three wide along the turn while gaining, went widest of the field entering the stretch, made a late rally and won the head nod. REVEREND AL chased the early fractions, continued to be up close through the turn while gaining, took the lead inside of the eighth pole where jockey lost crop, found late pressure from STRIKE IT LUCKY and could not hold that one off while saving second. PERFECT WAGER chased the early pace, saved ground along the turn, waited for racing room entering the stretch, made a late bid in the stretch and just missed for second. SATANTA had no speed early, continued trailing while two wide along the turn, and finished evenly in the stretch. CRACK A COLD ONE pressed the early pace, was between horses two wide on the turn while continuing to press, lost position off of the turn and tired in the stretch run. EXTRACTOR set early fractions, was contested by CRACK A COLD ONE through the turn, lost the lead to REVEREND AL entering the stretch and weakened in the stretch drive.
