Chart notes
SCHERZO (GB) settled early, advanced position along the backstretch, saved ground on the second turn while tracking the leaders, confronted ONLY THE FACTS nearing the eighth pole, collared that rival and kicked clear in the end. ONLY THE FACTS set the pace through the second turn, saved ground along the second turn, was confronted by the winner leaving the second turn, gave up the lead and was tiring in the drive but held for second. HOLY ZAGS was four wide through the first turn and backstretch, settled in the middle of the field, saved ground along the second turn, and made a steady run in the stretch to get third. TORQUAY was four wide on the first turn and backstretch, stalked the fractions of ONLY THE FACTS, was three wide on the second turn while still close up, lost position off of the turn and weakened in the stretch run. WAY TO FIRE had no speed early, was two wide along the second turn while trailing, improved position into the stretch but tired in the stretch run. FIRE DIAMONDS sat just off of the early pace, was close up on the backstretch, lost position into the second turn while three wide and gave way in the stretch run.
