SWEET MILAGROS stalked while saving ground around the first turn, continued to track the pacesetter down the backstretch, moved up three wide to engage rivals late on the turn, dueled outside of GEAUX GOLDEN through the lane, battled on gamely under a right handed drive and finished on equal terms for the win. GEAUX GOLDEN rated inside through early stages, launched an inside bid and surged up to engage rivals for the lead late in the far turn, dueled inside of SWEET MILAGROS into the drive, drifted out slightly under right handed pressure, dug in gamely and finished on equal terms for the win. MEG AND CLAIR was unhurried through around the first turn, moved inside near mid-backstretch to save ground then hustled up inside entering the lane, found more in late stages and edged closer in the final sixteenth. ULTIMATE CHALLENGE sped to the lead and set the pace down the backstretch, got collared late on the far turn then gave way. BOBBIES REASON raced two wide around the first turn, moved up closer to race four deep nearing the half mile marker, chased on to the mid-way pint on the far turn then weakened.
