U. S. DANGER was hustled to set the early fractions, saved ground on the second turn while two wide, was roused heading into the drive and kicked clear in the end. K P D DAY was allowed to settle in the midflight, was two wide on the second turn, lost ground off of the turn and ran evenly in the stretch run, while clear for second. FREEPORT JOE had no speed early, was four wide on the second turn while still at the back of the field, and made a late rally through traffic in the stretch to get the show. CHARGE CASH stalked the early pace of U.S. DANGER, was three wide on the second turn while still close up, lost position off of the turn and weakened in the stretch run. COOLCROSS settled toward the back of the field, was three wide along the second turn and gave way in the stretch run.
