MCMURPHY away alertly and raced to the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, set a pressured pace from along the rail in the run down the backstretch and into the final turn, shook clear leaving the turn to open a clear advantage entering the lane, and was all out to hold off a late bid by SLEW'S DA BOSS to prevail. SLEW'S DA BOSS settled off the early pace while saving ground at the rail entering the backstretch, rallied smartly from along the rail through the final turn, and finished full of run one out from the rail in the drive to get up for the place, while gaining on the winner late. FRANKIE MACHINE away well and tracked the leader into the first turn while racing one out from the rail, forced the issue two wide in the run down the backstretch and through the final turn, was unable to match strides with MCMURPHY leaving the turn, and finished three wide in the drive while unable to hold the place. EUROPEAN broke sharply and stalked the leader through the first turn while racing two out from the rail, engaged the pacesetter three wide midway down the backside, struggled to keep tabs on the leader entering the final turn, and was outfinished late. WICKED FORTITUDE settled off the early pace while racing one out from the rail entering the backstretch, rallied one out from the rail entering the final turn, but failed to respond when called upon.
