Chart notes
BAKTURA away alertly and raced to the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, set a pressured pace in the run the backstretch and into the final turn, lost the lead leaving the turn, but battled back gamely one out from the rail in the drive to prevail in the closing strides. EL NOBLE broke sharply and tracked the leader into the first turn while racing one out from the rail, forced the issue two wide in the run down the backstretch and through the final turn, took a narrow lead entering the lane, but was unable to dispose of a determined BAKTURA in the closing strides. ASTRONOMICAL away well and stalked the leaders from along the rail entering the backstretch, rallied along the rail entering the final turn, and finished three out from the rail in the drive to garner a share. BACK ALLEY CAT settled off the early pace while saving ground at the rail entering the backside, rallied from along the inside entering the final turn, shifted six wide entering the lane, and closed with late interest. RACING RIVER stalked the battling leader into the backstretch while racing two out from the rail, loomed a danger while rallying three wide through the final turn, but came up empty late. JUSTIFIED dwelt at the start, and trailed the field throughout.
