Chart notes
CONTEMPLATING was forwardly placed in opening stages, moved up two wide to challenge DONALDSON for the lead at the quarter pole, took command turning for home, opened up with a furlong left to run and kept clear. BOCK veered inward at the start, lacked speed and trailed, saved ground around the turn, shifted out four wide in the final furlong and produced a solid finish. DONALDSON sped to the lead at the start, came under attack from CONTEMPLATING at the quarter pole, got collared for the lead turning for home but stayed on with response and prevailed for a share. HURRICANE AMIGO raced three wide and chased the top pair around the turn, was ridden along three wide into the lane and lacked the needed response for impact. NOTORIOUS REY raced off the clear top trio through early stages, hustled along four to five wide into the lane and failed to rally.
