Chart notes
SHIFTY DANCER sprinted clear soon after the start, saved ground while setting the pace, drifted out into the stretch and held off the closing IRISH TERRIER by a diminishing margin. IRISH TERRIER settled off the leaders early, moved five-wide through the second turn and was gaining on the winner late. ON THE WINGS OF was off a step slow then allowed to settle, raced three-wide through the second turn and finished with some late run. GENTLE PRINCE steadied nearing the thirteen-sixteenths pole, chased the winner while racing three-wide and weakened after going three-quarters. FREIBURG was forwardly placed from off the rail and weakened in the drive. GUARDINGTHEMONEY broke in the air, lagged throughout and was eased through the lane.
