GOLDEN LASSIE moved up behind the early leader, raced two wide in aim at the five sixteenths pole, remained up close four wide into the lane, dug in gamely, took over the lead in the final sixteenth and prevailed. SAVED AT THE WIRE was not too far back in early stages, saved ground into the lane, gained closer contention, angled out three wide and got up for place. MICK'SBESTBETYET lacked speed in early stages, swung five wide into the lane, gathered momentum under steady pressure, gained late and just missed place. DAWNDETTI was ridden along the rail in early stages, saved ground into the lane, vied for the lead at the eighth pole, got headed by the winner then weakened late. DREAMINOFDASIES raced up close three wide at the five sixteenths pole, hustled up five wide into the lane then gave way. SPEEDY FIRE was ridden along two wide around the turn, urged three wide into the lane and failed to kick on. TAR HEEL PALACE sped to the lead at the start, vied for the lead around the turn, fought back to mid-stretch then came up tired.
