Chart notes
LOVE CANDY sat off of the early contesting pacesetters, was three wide on the turn, swung widest into the stretch, made a bold late rally in the final furlong and was all out to just nail the runner-up on the wire to prevail. STANFORD BAY was sent to set a quick contested pace through the turn while two wide, shook off his stablemate inside of the final furlong and was clear until the final yards when nailed on the line by LOVE CANDY, while besting the rest. HEAVEN SHINES pressed the early pace by STANFORD BAY, was three wide on the turn, stayed within reach of his stablemate until the final sixteenth and weakened in the end. AUTISM BLUE chased the leaders while saving ground on the turn and did not rally in the stretch. SHORTMAN had no speed in the early going, saved ground on the turn and made a mild late gain in the stretch but was not affecting the leaders. HIJO GALANTE tracked the pace from toward the rear of the field, mounted a bid on the turn while four wide but tired in the stretch run.
