Chart notes
KOWBOYKABIN sprinted clear soon after the start, saved ground while setting the pace, responded when challenged by COASTAL KID nearing the five-sixteenths pole, vied with that rival and came back to score a narrow victory. COASTAL KID raced four-wide through the first turn, stalked the pace of the winner while racing three-wide, moved up to engage that foe nearing the five-sixteenths pole, vied and edged away in mid-stretch, veered out nearing the sixteenth pole, was straightened away and just missed. TIME 'N TIME AGAIN was reserved just off the leaders from the inside and finished evenly in the drive. LONG LANCE lagged early, raced four-wide through the second turn and did not threaten. CAPTAIN DASHI was void of early speed, raced off the rail through the second turn and was not a factor.
