Chart notes
TEACHER'S PET stalked the pace from the rail, was hustled on the far turn, responded smartly upper stretch and rallied to get the by leader in the late stages. NOVEMBER FOG led into the first turn, set a pressured pace, shook clear into the stretch but failed to hold the winner safe. ANN OF CLEVES settled off the pace, was hustled from the rail on the far turn the closed steadily in the stretch but to no avail. BAYOU BELLE stalked three-wide early, chased three and four-wide having dropped back early turn then did not threaten. JUSTLEAVEITALONE pressed the pace, forced the issue on the backstretch, was hustled two and three-wide on the far turn but flattened out in the stretch.
