Chart notes
BLACK METAL tracked the leader into the backstretch while racing one out from the rail, rallied two wide through the final turn, surged to the lead soon after entering the lane, and drew clear late. FLYUNDERTHEGRAYDAR broke sharply, while drifting out in the opening strides, before assuming command in the run to the first turn, controlled the pace from along the rail in the run down the backstretch, battled through the final turn from the inside of BLACK METAL, was unable to match strides with that rival late, but finished gamely to hold the place. MACHINE away well and tracked the leader into the first turn while saving ground at the rail, dropped back in the run to the final turn, rallied along the inside through the turn, and finished with late interest while drifting three wide in deep stretch. WE'RE IN COMMAND settled off the early pace while saving ground at the rail entering the first turn, rallied two wide from between rivals through the final turn, and finished evenly while drifting four wide in deep stretch. BABY GRAND away alertly and was allowed to settle off the early pace while racing two out from the rail entering the backstretch, rallied three wide through the final turn, but lacked the needed closing response when called upon.
