Chart notes
THETRASHMANSCOMING hopped to be off a step slow, outrun for six furlongs, rallied from between foes four wide turning for home, closed with good resolve, engaged the leader late and edged clear under steady handling. CHOP CHOP CHARLIE stalked the pace while racing three wide, advanced on the leaders and challenged three wide second turn, gained the advantage, continued to lead past the furlong marker and into deep stretch, caught in the final strides, clear of the others. APPLEWOOD settled off the pace and the inside, moved closer four wide turning for home, flattened out in the final furlong to finished best of the others. INVASORS WIND lacked speed while racing outside, four wide into the far turn, fanned six wide into the stretch, improved the next furlong then flattened out to finish up evenly. FROM NOW ON broke back, also lacked early speed, five wide and between horses into the lane, lacked a closing response. CAJUN CASH chased for five furlongs, challenged briefly between rivals in the final turn then gave way when the real running began turning for home. CLASSIC GREELEY took command after the start, set the pace for five furlongs, gave way readily when headed midway on the final turn, stopped in the drive, eased late under the wire, walked off. OPENING QUARTER MILE FRACTIONAL SPLIT HAND TIMED DUE TO TIMER MALFUNCTION.
