Chart notes
D'ROCK away in good order, clear early, rated kindly in the run through the turn, expanded that advantage into the straight, maintained a comfortable advantage to the wire under pressure. SAPONI chased the winner off the inside, moved a bit closer late in the turn, lacked a further advance on that one, inherited a daylight advantage for the second spot after SHOWCASE MALL took a bad step and was briefly checked up by his rider past the furlong marker. SHOWCASE MALL slow to settle toward the inside into the turn, continued to be a bit rank late in the bend, was making inroads on the runner up in midstretch when he appeared to take a bad step, was briefly checked up then finished up evenly. HOMEBRED went one paced throughout failed to menace, vanned off. SANDBAGGER AL trailed early in lacking speed, failed to respond when called on for the drive.
