Chart notes
RULING EMPIRE was well placed on the inside, rallied in the stretch on the rail, edged clear late under strong handling. SHADOW TRACER was well placed early, rallied in the stretch three wide and drew even, was outfinished late but was second best. HOVER dueled on the lead until late stretch and weakened slightly. ATTUCK never far back throughout, lacked a late kick and went evenly. CENTRIST broke in the air and lost all chance. THE COOKIE MAN vied for the lead until the top of the stretch, then gave way. The stewards posted the inquiry sign but took no action.
