Chart notes
MIDNIGHT SPECIAL stalked the early quick pace, mounted a bid while four wide, vied for the lead leaving the turn, was met by HONEYMOONZ OVER but kicked clear in the end to prevail. HONEYMOONZ OVER contested the early pace with HIT THE SEAM, dueled with that foe on the turn, met the bid of MIDNIGHT SPECIAL off of the turn but was outkicked while a clear second over the rest. HIT THE SEAM dueled on the front end with HONEYMOONZ OVER to set quick fractions, lost ground leaving the turn and weakened in the stretch run, holding for third. BENCH JUDGE settled off of the early quick pace while saving ground and rallied leaving the turn to pressure for third but just missed. PRINCE DE PRINCE settled in the second flight and had no final kick in the stretch run. SLAM DUNK SERMON was away a step slowly and chased from the rear, saved ground on the turn and was not a factor.
