POLTERER vied inside for the lead, dueled with KRATOS into the far turn, responded when roused turning for home, shook clear, then dueled with KRATOS to the wire and prevailed determinedly inside. KRATOS vied two wide for the lead, dueled into the far turn, dropped back a bit, then came again outside in the stretch drive, dueled and dug in gamely to the finish. ARTISTIC REASON raced four wide early, then stalked two wide, chased two wide on the far turn, finished evenly and got the nod for third. TATE raced off the pace inside, came three wide into the lane, closed belatedly outside and just missed for third. BEHEMAH STAR was off slowly and steadied, raced two wide off the pace, chased three wide on the far turn and had no rally. GOLDEN TONE pulled along the inside in the early stages, steadied at the six furlong marker, then tracked inside, was asked on the far turn and failed to threaten.
