Chart notes
APPOINTED was forwardly placed two wide around the first turn then stalked the pacesetter through the backstretch, moved up to engage COOPER for then lead three furlongs from home, matched strides then cleared on top turning for home and remained clear. COPPER took over the lead and angled inside on the first turn, set the pace through the backstretch, came under attack from APPOINTED at the three-eighths pole, vied for the lead around the turn, could not move on with winner at the head of the lane but stayed on with response for second best. STARSHIP MISHKA settled in the last flight through early stages, picked up the pace four wide around the far turn, stayed on three to four wide through the lane and gained show. GYPSY WIFE was unhurried along the inside, was ridden along two wide around the far turn, gained position then flattened in the lane. TAKE ME AS I AM tracked the pace through the backstretch, was urged for response three wide at the five-sixteenths pole but failed to move on. KEITANY tracked the pace along the inside then failed to respond under pressure around the far turn.
