Chart notes
MELTDOWN raced on a clear pace while near the rail, extended into the lane while in hand, remained in reserve until inside the eighth pole then offered intermittent urging to last. JOHNSTOWN JOHNNY was unhurried while in the three path into the far turn, came three wide in late turn into the lane, was in the four path with an eighth to go and rallied to the wire, missed and settled for second best. FIFTYFIVE STRONG tracked the pace from along the inside into the lane then lacked the needed response. BEAUMONT BEAUX saved ground into the lane then lacked a bid. MR. SARCASTIC in the four path near the quarter pole, came into the lane from the six path and never was a factor. PRINCESS LENNY raced in contending position through the turn and into the lane and was empty. STONECASTLE was outrun while in the three path through the turns.
