Chart notes
MERGE settled in the early going, was coaxed along near the far turn, raced three to two wide in the lane and finished well to be clear under strong encouragement. MIZZEN MONEY showed good early speed to set the early pace but couldn't hold off the winner in the lane to finish second best. CAYMAN ISLAND stalked the early pace, raced along the inside near the quarter pole, angled four wide through the drive and had not enough. AMERICAN FORCES settled off the early pace, raced four deep near the three sixteenths pole and had no final winning bid. MIDDLE EARTH was slow early on, raced four wide into the upper stretch and had no response. BERMONDSEY failed to sustain a bid.
