Chart notes
TOP OF THE GAME raced three wide around the first turn, settled nicely racing off the clear top pair, picked up the pace along the outside late on the turn, came four wide into the lane, angled in a couple paths under pressure, seized command at the sixteenth pole under a strong hand ride and finished going away. CHRISTINE'S JACK vied outside of BLUE AZUL around the first turn, battled on to the midway point in the backstretch then shook free, held clear still unleashed leaving the far turn, saved ground into the lane, came under right handed pressure and failed to be a late match for the winner. PAPER BOY was unhurried and settled off the early pace, saved ground around the far turn, angled out and headed in pursuit in the upper stretch, sustained a steady bid and bested the rest. BLUE AZUL vied inside of CHRISTINE'S JACK for the lead around the first turn, battled back to the midway point through the backstretch then weakened off the leader and steadily faded. INQUISITEUR settled through early stages, failed to respond when called upon and steadily retreated.
