Chart notes
EUCHARIST bumped hard with a rival at the start, was urged along off the pace, chased three then four wide on the turn, gained under the crop into the stretch, pursued the leader into the final furlong while still on his inside lead, switched to the proper lead while making a bid outside the sixteenth-pole then took the advantage and edged clear under strong handling. BROCKMONINOFF showed good speed, set the pace under pressure to his outside, inched away along the rail on the turn, was asked coming to the quarter-pole then turned into the stretch in the two path, led under a drive to near the sixteenth-pole then was overtaken while just able to get the place. HANGAR ONE was urged along early then taken in hand near the nine-sixteenths, steadied off heels around the seven-sixteenths, moved from the rail to the two path shortly thereafter then was roused, dropped to the rail into the stretch, chased into the final furlong, moved out approaching the sixteenth-pole and finished willingly for the show. RUN CASPER RUN was urged along on the outside, went five then six wide on the turn and lacked the needed kick. COACH BAHE was void of speed, dropped well behind under urging, saved ground on the turn, came out into upper stretch then dropped back in again and finished well but reached his best stride too late. MATTY'S MARAUDER was ridden along towards the rear, went three wide on the turn, came four wide into the stretch then steadied behind horses, altered out inside the three-sixteenths and failed to threaten. JACKS AMERICAN PIE was ridden along on the outside, went five wide on the turn, came six wide into the stretch and was no factor. INDOCTRINATE was urged along just off the pace, dropped back leaving the backstretch, went two then three wide on the turn and lacked the needed response. MR FANTASY bumped hard with a rival at the start, pressed the pace on the outside, chased in the three path on the turn and tired. NOCTILUCENT was hustled from the start, chased the pace on the outside, went four then five wide on the turn and capitulated. YANKEE EMPIRE was sent hard from the start, chased the pace, saved ground on the turn and retreated.
