Chart notes
EL JOY was allowed to settle in the early stages while a path off of the rail, improved position on the second turn while two wide, angled out to the four path for the drive, closed fast inside of the furlong marker to overtake ROBIE and kicked clear in the end. ROBIE was away in good order and was sent to set the pace while being prompted, saved ground to the second turn, extended the lead a bit leaving the second turn but was quickly overtaken by EL JOY inside of the furlong marker and kept on to be best of the rest. MUCHO MACHISMO stalked the pace along the clubhouse turn then was given rein to press the pace to the far turn, lost a bit of ground in upper stretch and was outkicked in the late stages. TALISKER BAY was four wide on the first turn, stalked the pace outside of rivals to the second turn, gained a bit of ground heading to the stretch run but did not offer a late rally in the drive. KOKO'S MOM stalked the pace from a ground saving position, gained a bit of ground on the second turn and weakened in the stretch run. TIGER'S ARROW was away slowly and recovered well to chase the pace on the first turn, pressed the pace into the second turn while three wide and faded in the late going.
