Chart notes
BIG NOVEL stalked two wide then moved to the rail on the clubhouse turn, remained inside then angled out to a clear path past the five-sixteenths pole, came three wide into the lane, tipped out further in the drive, drew alongside the leader at the eighth pole and drew clear while drifting inward. VIVACIOUS VANESSA stalked in the three path through the early stages, bid three deep on the far turn, dueled past the quarter pole, held a short lead into the furlong grounds but got outkicked by the winner. EMERALD LAKE stalked the pace in the two path, bid between rivals on the far turn, dueled with VIVACIOUS VANESSA past the quarter pole and into the stretch, then weakened in the final furlong. PRECIOUS INSIGHT set the pace on the inside to the far turn, clung to a narrow lead at the five-sixteenths pole, was overtaken and could not kick on with the leaders with a quarter mile left to run and gave way in the stretch.
