Chart notes
SLEWING took the lead leaving the chute and set a pressured pace, dueled clear three wide midway on the turn and was steadily handled through the lane. REAL APPEAL pressured the pace inside through the backstretch but dropped back at the rail midway on the turn and had to settle for second. WAGER WORTHY chased, rounded the turn about the three path, dug in to take third later yards and just lasted. NINETY PROOF gave chase outside, rounded the turn about the five path and just missed third. SWISS HORIZON pressured the pace two deep while between horses but dropped back midway on the turn and flattened the final sixteenth. IN THE NEWS was briefly close to the early pace while giving chase, rounded the turn at the rail then weakened. CARNIVAL LUCKY and MEDAL GENIUS were not factors.
