Chart notes
OLYMPIAD prompted the pace setter from the outside, bid for the lead entering the lane, exchanged brushes with his inner counterpart in upper stretch before forging an advantage at the furlong grounds, and drove clear through the late stages. SILVER PROSPECTOR set the pace along the inside, showed the way from a vying OLYMPIAD around the far turn, dug in while shifting to the two path entering the lane, brushed with that foe while resisting his bid in upper stretch, but was headed at the furlong grounds, gave way soon after, but safely held place. MILES D stalked three wide, came under a drive between horses at the five sixteenths pole, drifted to the five path entering the lane, but failed to keep pace with the top two in upper stretch, sustained his chase while clinging on to show from an inner bidding rival in midstretch, and gamely held that position. O BESOS took a staggered step at the start, laid off of the pace in the four path around both turns, split rivals approaching midstretch to bid for show inside of MILES D, but was denied that position through the late stages. HAPPY AMERICAN trailed, swung to the eight path entering the lane, and moved up. UNTREATED tracked from midpack four wide and outside of foes, but weakened on his left lead in upper stretch. SPRAWL stalked along the inside, but only managed to chase along the rail in upper stretch before fading at the furlong grounds. MIDCOURT was moving about as the gates opened and broke slowly, tracked in the three path, but faded entering the lane.
