Chart notes
PICKERING CIRCLE was away alertly to set the pace while racing off the rail, drew out leaving the turn and then was kept to pressure to prove much the best. ASLUCKWOULDHAVIT chased the pace and was three wide on the turn and faded, held place award. SMOOZER was reserved early, advanced on the inside on the turn and had a late rally on the inside, missed place award. NOT TO BLAME tracked the early pace three to four wide and was getting out on the turn and weakened. NEWS ITEM ducked in after the start, settled on the inside and was not a threat. COUNTRY HAM failed to menace.
