Chart notes
CRAZY LEGS HIRSCH was allowed to settle early, moved up through the far turn, raced five wide near the three sixteenths pole and drove clear. ELECTORAL stalked the pace from the inside, moved up through the upper stretch, led near the eighth pole but was no match for the winner in the drive. RIVER RULER showed good early speed to set the early pace from the outside and weakened while racing along the inside in the stretch run. CHAMPAGNE AFFAIR was slow early on, moved up three to four wide in the lane but had not enough. SARCASTIC TONE was forwardly placed to lay up close early on and gave way. VICTORY BOULEVARD settled off the early going, raced near the inside and had no response.
