DRIVE BY LAYOVER rated close toward the inside, bid nearing the three eighths pole and dueled to the front toward the quarter, contested the edge at the rail on the far turn and dug in under steady encouragment to hold off the game stretch effort of HELLO AMIGO, who rounded the first turn in the three path, bid leaving the seven sixteenths pole and raced close in the three path of the far turn then dug in gamely to the finish. COASTAL CHAOS settled off the pace about the three path the first turn, bid nearing the seven sixteenths pole, came through the far turn in the four path and was along for third just inside the sixteenth pole. ARE YOU HAPPY saved ground on the first turn, bid nearing the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn off the rail and showed little further. MORE PLEASE rated a short lead inside, came under pressure approaching the five sixteenths pole, was caught at the rail nearing the quarter and faded through the far turn. MADE TO BE LUCKY, racing without front shoes, raced off the rail on the opening turn, eased out into the backstretch but showed little response. DINNER BELL stalked the earlier pace two deep, gave chase leaving the seven sixteenths pole but was taken up leaving the three eighths.
