Chart notes
ARTEMIS RISING broke in to make contact with Theheatofthenight then set a pressured pace, rounded the turn at the rail and held on under steady handling. COMMITTEEMAN broke inward then pressured the pace, ran in the three path of the turn and finished well while gaining on the winner. THEHEATOFTHENIGHT was bumped at the break, gave chase through the backstretch, rounded the turn in the four path and came along for third later yards. THE BIG K broke outward to make contact with PERTH AMBOY, pressured the pace inside, rounded the turn at the rail then flattened inside the eighth pole. The latter was bumped leaving the gate, gave chase inside, eased out entering the stretch, lugged in past the eighth pole and showed little more. LAMECH was pinched back at the break, gave chase through the backstretch, ran in the three and four paths on the turn, moved toward the inside approaching the head of the lane then steadied past the eighth pole.
