Chart notes
VALID REASON was hustled to the front and rated the pace, came under pressure toward the five sixteenths pole, raced at the rail on the turn and was steadily handled to hold on. ZELPHA steadied at the start then gave chase, rounded the turn four wide and finished well while gaining on the winner. STARTED WITH STARS exchanged light contact with American Blonde leaving the gate then gave chase, rounded the turn in the three path and yielded second later yards. MIDNIGHT REGRET chased toward the outside, raced off the rail on the turn and finished evenly to pass rivals. AMERICAN BLONDE exchanged light contact with Started With Stars leaving the gate, gave chase and rounded the turn off the rail, then weakened. AS IT SHOULD BE gave chase inside, ran at the rail on the turn and showed little in the lane.
