Chart notes
NO CHANGE settled off the earlier pace in the two and three paths, bid leaving the three eighths pole and took the lead three wide midway on the far turn, then dug in determinedly to draw clear of PENGUIN POWER through later yards. The latter settled off the pace in the three path the first turn, bid leaving the three eighths pole, dueled close two deep while between horses on the far turn and dug in gamely to mid-stretch before relenting. BOASTER saved early ground well off the pace, bid leaving the seven sixteenths pole, rounded the far turn in the five and six paths and finished well to take third the final strides. FIBER AND EMILY rated a slim lead off the rail, came under pressure nearing the three eighths pole, was caught at the rail midway on the far turn then flattened inside the eighth pole. FANCY CONCHO saved ground on the first turn, bid nearing the three eighths pole and eased to the four path on the far turn, then flattened. COMMAND THE CAT settled off the pace inside, gave chase into the backstretch, eased to the four path on the far turn and showed little in the lane. WITH SECRET ENERGY became very fractious in the gate and saved ground. HERO'S MAN stalked inside, challenged at the three eighths pole and raced close to the mid point of the turn, then weakened. The Stewards reviewed then dismissed a claim of foul against the rider of Penguin Power, lodged by the rider of Fiber And Emily, for alleged interference leaving the far turn.
