Chart notes
SURE WOULD FOREST bumped with the horse to his outside leaving the gate, recovered to lead the field while saving ground around the first turn, dueled on the outside up the backstretch and around the far turn, and kicked clear in the stretch. PEPE TONO saved ground around the first turn, trailed the field up the backstretch, raced in the three path around the far turn and gained ground late while drifting out to just get up for second. PRETENDANT chased the leader from the two path around the first turn and up the backstretch, angled in to save ground around the far turn and finished evenly on the rail, just missing the place. THUNDER GRUNDER bumped with the horse to his inside leaving the gate, raced off the pace in the two path through the opening half mile, began a bid from the three path while racing around the far turn and flattened out in the stretch. CATTLE DRIVE raced in the middle of the pack while saving ground around the first turn, moved up to duel for the lead on the inside up the backstretch, continued around the far turn in the two path and faded in the final furlong.
