Chart notes
SECRET CASTLE gave chase and raced at even terms from the five sixteenths pole, contested the edge three wide on the turn and dug in determinedly to inch clear of the game stretch effort of LUNAR PRAYER, who came in at the break then pressured the pace, contested even terms from the five sixteenths pole, raced at a close disadvantage two deep while between horses on the turn and dug in gamely to mid-stretch before relenting later yards. LADY LICIOUS was shuffled back on the chute then chased outside, rounded the turn in the six path and came along for third late yards. NOT FOR GOLD broke in to make contact with La Rufina and was pinched back early, gave chase through the backstretch, ran at the rail on the turn and finished evenly. VINTAGE GIN was forced in on the chute then lugged in early, gave chase through the backstretch, raced off the rail on the turn then weakened. LA RUFINA was jostled sharply at the start, gave early chase inside, ran in the three path of the turn then weakened. ANCHOR'S FIRSTLADY was shut off approaching the seven sixteenths pole, continued chase from that point, ran in the five path of the turn and showed little in the lane. U S FUNDS broke out and made sharp contact with La Rufina then set a pressured pace inside, was met leaving the five sixteenths pole, raced at a close disadvantage through the turn, steadied in tight at the rail approaching the head of the lane then weakened from mid-stretch.
