FIT BUT FAT came outward at the break, drew clear and angled to the inside to rate the pace, was met into the backstretch, dueled from the half mile pole, contested the edge nearest the rail on the far turn, was caught between horses mid-stretch and flattened late yards. SOUTHERN SAVIOUR broke inward and made contact with Gaming Jack, settled off the rail on the first turn, bid nearing the three eighths pole, was bumped in the vicinity of the five sixteenths pole, raced off the rail on the far turn then flattened late stretch. RESIDENT was pinched back at the start, rounded the first turn in the four path, picked up the chase from the three eighths pole, ran in the four path of the far turn, was carried outward leaving the turn and passed rivals in the lane. GAMING JACK was jostled at the break then settled back inside, bid nearing the three eighths pole, initiated contact with Southern Saviour in the vicinity of the five sixteenths pole, ran at the rail on the far turn then flattened stride. CATONSVILLE steadied early, rounded the first turn about the three path and was never a factor. WONDER HOW rated close to the early pace inside but dropped back on the first turn and faded through the backstretch. NAUTICAL WARRIOR rounded the first turn about the four path and was through early. The Stewards reviewed a claim of foul against the rider of Southern Savior, lodged by the rider of Gaming Jack, though, found no infraction.
