Chart notes
MAGIC LIGHTNING chased the leader from the two path around the first turn and up the backstretch, moved up to challenge on the outside headed into the far turn, dueled from the two path from there, kicked clear in the stretch and drew off while drifting out mildly. C. F. CONGRESS saved ground around the first turn, raced off the pace up the backstretch, continued to save ground around the far turn, and gained ground on the outside in late stretch. TRAFFIC CONTROL raced in the three path around the first turn, chased the frontrunner on the outside up the backstretch, came around the far turn in the two and three path and finished evenly. MESABI was sent to the early lead, showed the way while saving ground around the first turn and up the backstretch, dueled from the rail around the far turn and faded in the lane. TEXAS TRILOGY raced in the two path around the first turn, trailed the field up the backstretch, angled in to save ground around the second turn and came up empty in the stretch. BUTWAITTHERE'SMORE fought his rider and headed wide into the first turn, settled at the back of the pack for the run up the backstretch, came around the far turn in the two path and never fired.
