Chart notes
COLEMAN CREEK made the lead out of the gate, drew clear of the field into the turn and through the stretch, but just held on for a wire to wire win. WILTON was mid pack early on, made a bid in the turn, closing fast down the lane from the four path, and just missed at the wire. WILLACY was in contention early, racing around the three path, then made a bid from around the turn to get up for show in a blanket finish. HARD CANDY was near the front early, racing three wide, made a bid on the turn but faltered in late stretch. BIG WAVE JAMES had no early foot, racing wide throughout, then rallied down the lane but it was not enough. AFFRAY chased the pace early on, from the rail but flattened out down the lane. JERSEY JOE pressed the pace, two wide and dropped back in the turn. LIONS NOT SHEEP was near the back, three wide and no menace. GEM DANCER trailed the field all the way and was no factor.
