Chart notes
COLOUR GUARD was rated along the inside early, eased out and was between rivals midway on the turn, made a three wide bid to move into contention by the quarter pole, then slowly wore down the frontrunner late to prove best, driving. AMERICAN CHESTNUT was away alertly to dueled for the lead three wide by the half mile marker, then made a bid to draw clear by the three eighths, then remained clear by the furlong marker but was caught late despite left handed crop urging. STONE SCULPTOR was taken back early, then advanced on the turn and came five wide into the drive, closed the gap fast late. TAKE IT TO SCALE chased the early pace and made a four wide bid on the turn but was empty in the drive. TOOK A CAB dueled for the lead on the in side and faltered.
