SKY DESTINY went four wide into the opening turn, settled outside then gained closer order leaving the backstretch, was asked to quicken in the final turn, put away rival in the final sixteenth and edged clear. IT'S ALEXUS chased the pacesetters under strong hold, fanned three wide in the far turn, inherited the lead nearing the quarter pole, was under attack at the head of the stretch, and was caught late. WHISKARITA raced four to five wide into the opening turn, gained closer order leaving the backstretch, closed steadily outside and was up just in time for show. CONVINCE settled in second flight, lodged a bid nearing the quarter pole, angled down to the rail in the final furlong, and was caught late. WE ARE FREE trailed the field, gained closer contention and passed tiring rival. SAVEITFORARAINYDAY saved ground and had no response when called upon. WHEELSUPINTHIRTY vied outside for the early lead through the opening turn, and had nothing in reserve late. CAGEY vied inside of WHEELSUPINTHIRTY, took pressure through the backstretch, was unable to move on with the field and was eased.
