DANCE SHOES carried wide leaving the opening turn, sat in striking range while four wide through the backstretch, went in pursuit of the lead nearing the quarter pole, drifted out on the turn then drifted in under right handed urging bumping RUN LOLA RUN, and drew clear. RUN LOLA RUN bumped into the opening turn, sat in striking position while four wide, drove between foes at the head of the lane then was bumped, and finished evenly. PLUM BLUE unhurried early, gained closer order nearing the final turn, angled off the rail in the final furlong and rallied for show. SHELTERED BAY led the field through the backstretch, was overtaken at the quarter pole, rallied inside of PLUM BLUE, and was edged out. MINE ME sat just off the pace, dropped back through the far turn, and passed tiring rival late. JOY IN GRACE lugged out in the first turn, sat in range then tired early. FLAT AS A PANCAKE squeezed out into the opening turn, chased outside in the backstretch, and was done early. STEWARDS INQUIRY- The Stewards conducted an inquiry into the stretch involving RUN LOLA RUN and DANCE SHOES but made no change to the order of finish.
