APPELLANT was off a step slow, but pulled his way under a snug hold into a tracking trip through the first turn, maintained his position while continuing to save ground in the run down the backstretch, rallied along the rail entering the final turn, slipped through at the rail when YOU DON'T OWN ME drifted three wide and quickly took command and inched clear late. YOU DON'T OWN ME away alertly and raced to the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, was allowed to dictate the pace from just off the rail through the second turn and in the run down the backside, maintained his advantage into the final turn, drifted off the rail leaving the turn and was quickly overtaken, and finished three wide in the drive to hold the place. PADDY D'ORO broke sharply and tracked the leader through the stretch the first time while racing one out from the rail, maintained his position in the run down the backstretch and into the final turn was unable to keep tabs on the top pair late while finishing four wide in the drive to garner a share. KNOPFLER unhurried early while dropping back to trail, rallied three wide entering the final turn, and finished with some late interest and finished two wide in the drive while unable to make a serious late impact. EUROPEAN stalked the leader through the stretch the first time while racing one out from the rail, held a striking trip in the run down the backside, rallied two wide approaching the final turn, but weakened over the final furlong.
